I love to be active! I trained for and completed the Marine Corps Marathon in 2008 and added yoga to my weekly training regimen as a safeguard against injury. I ran the marathon injury free (10:27 mile pace!) and in the process fell in love with yoga as taught to me by Maria Garre. Injuries crept in as I pushed yoga to the side to make room for a new accomplishment, triathlon training. I completed the IronGirl Tri the year I turned 40--2010. And I ended up struggling for the next 12 months with a severe repetitive use injury to my achilles tendon. And that's when I decided to pursue a lifelong method of movement by studying Prana Flow® Vinyasa. I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2011 and immediately began studies for Prana Flow® 500 hour certification with my teachers including Maria Garre, Shiva Rea, Andrew McAuley and others.

I teach yoga because the elemental connection to breath and movement is available to everyone and more transformative than a 3 hour run. Energetically coaching my students toward the art of yoga--union of breath and movement--is my passion. Every individual deserves to connect to his or her truest self through moving in the foundational flow of breath. Yoga is the instant flow, synchronicity, expression of heart, mind, body connected.
